Easy Roasted Brisket
If you have the time and brisket is on sale!!! This will be your go to recipe. Super easy it only takes a few more ingredients and 4 to 5 hours and it turns out tasty every time. As a added bonus your house will smell awesome:)
First start with either a roaster or large pan for the oven. Spray with non stick spray. Season both sides of brisket with garlic salt and Cavender’s seasoning. If you don’t have this it’s worth buying. This was one of my Daddy’s go to seasonings on everything. You can use a lot for flavor since its not really salty.
Slice an onion and place brisket in pan or roaster. Please onions across the top. Cook at 350 for 4 to 5 hours. After about an hour check and if there are no juices add about about a cup of water as you will need to baste every 30 minutes or so. Check after 4 hours and it should be tender if not cook a bit longer. You should be able to cut this with a plastic knife. I know since this is a recipe I have many times at work. Everyone always loves it.
Roasted Brisket
1 Brisket or 1/2 which is what I did this time
1 Onion Sliced
Garlic Salt
Cavenders Greek Seasoning
Prep the a large baking pan or roaster with non stick spray. Season per your preference on both sides with garlic and seasoning. Remember you can use a lot of Cavender’s since it not salty. Or if you prefer you can use the seasoning of your choice. Place in pan top with sliced onion and bake at 350 4 to 5 hours. After an hour if there are no juices for basting add about a cup of water and baste every 30 minutes or so. After 4 hours check to make sure it is really tender if not cook checking until tender. Enjoy!
