Mellow Mac and Cheese Bake
Sorry Y’all I haven’t posted in awhile. I haven’t stopped cooking but I guess I have been procrastinating when it comes to typing up the recipes I have made:) This recipe is a different version of mac and cheese with the sour cream added which makes it a much more mellow flavor that is really good!
Cook 8 oz of macaroni per directions and drain.
In a large skillet add 1/4 Cup Butter and melt. Add 1 small chopped onion and saute until transparent. Stir in 1/4 cup Flour and cook for 1 minute.
Add 1 cup milk and cook, stirring until sauce thickens. Add 1/2 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and 1 1/2 Cup cheese of your choice. I usually use Colby Jack: heat, stirring until cheese melts.
Empty 1 Cup Sour cream in a large bowl; gradually add hot sauce, stirring constantly. Fold in macaroni.
Pour into a greased casserole dish. Top with additional cheese and breadcrumbs.
Bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes. Enjoy!
