Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until the hash browns are fully coated. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a greased springform pan, ensuring it's compact. Place the crust in the freezer for 15 minutes to help it firm up.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Remove the crust from the freezer and bake it for 40 minutes, or until it turns a beautiful golden brown.
- While the crust is baking, grab a separate bowl and whisk together eggs and milk until frothy. Add crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
- Once the crust is done baking, pour the prepared filling over the hot, pre-baked crust. Lower the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for an additional 35-40 minutes.
- After baking, remove the quiche from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
