Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine slices of flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly until beef is evenly coated, then let it marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Carefully add the marinated beef in a single layer, and sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in sliced onion and bell pepper; sauté for 2-3 minutes until starting to soften. Add garlic and broccoli, stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, mixing with the vegetables. Pour in the oyster sauce and sesame oil, tossing to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Serve the Beef and Onion Stir-Fry over a bed of cooked rice.
