Filling
  • 2 cups Shredded Turkey Can use chicken or plant-based protein.
  • 1 cup Mashed Potatoes Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Celery
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Can substitute with shallots.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, fresh garlic preferred.
  • 1 cup Bread Stuffing Opt for gluten-free stuffing if needed.
Toppings
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Can substitute other cheeses.
  • ¾ cup Gravy Homemade or store-bought.
  • to taste Salt & Pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Instructions for Stuffed Shells
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 1.5-quart baking dish.
  2. In boiling salted water, cook pasta shells for 8-9 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Combine shredded turkey, mashed potatoes, celery, onion, garlic, and half the cheese in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread ¾ cup of gravy on the bottom of the greased dish.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the mixture and place in the dish.
  6. Drizzle remaining gravy and sprinkle leftover cheese over shells.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
