For the Stir-Fry
  • 1 pound Flank Steak slice thinly against the grain
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil can substitute with canola or peanut oil
  • 1 medium Onion can use shallots for a unique twist
  • 3 cloves Garlic or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper can substitute with snap peas or carrots
  • 1 cup Broccoli or bok choy/snap peas
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce or vegetarian stir-fry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil omit for allergies
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice or quinoa/cauliflower rice

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Stir well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil, then the marinated beef. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining vegetable oil. Sauté sliced onions and bell peppers for 2-3 minutes. Then, add the minced garlic and broccoli, stirring for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, add oyster sauce and drizzle with sesame oil. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Serve the Beef and Onion Stir-Fry over a bed of cooked rice.
