Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a deep skillet, pour in about 2 inches of vegetable oil and heat it to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure accuracy.
  2. In a pot, bring 1 cup of water and ½ cup of granulated sugar to a boil. Add in 1 cup of walnut halves and let them boil for about 2 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup of mayonnaise, ¼ cup of honey, ¼ cup of condensed milk, and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat 2 egg whites until soft peaks form. Gently fold in ½ cup of cornstarch to create a light batter.
  5. Dip each large shrimp into the egg white batter and fry in small batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Once the shrimp are crispy, toss them gently with the creamy sauce in a large mixing bowl.
  7. Sprinkle the candied walnuts over the sauced shrimp and serve hot.
