Step-by-Step Instructions for Cinnamon Apple Fritter Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together ½ cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 3-5 minutes.
- Add 2 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 2 teaspoons of baking powder. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternating with ½ cup of milk.
- Fold in 1½ cups of chopped apples to the batter until evenly distributed.
- Mix together ½ cup of brown sugar and 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- For a glaze, whisk together 1 cup of powdered sugar and a few teaspoons of milk. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
