Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In your food processor, add the garbanzo beans, water, dried basil, salt, nutritional yeast, olive oil, garlic, crushed red peppers, oregano, and tomato paste. Secure the lid tightly.
  2. Set your food processor to high speed and blend the mixture for about 1-2 minutes until smooth. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. If the hummus is too thick, gradually add additional water or vegetable broth, blending again to reach the desired creamy consistency.
  4. Transfer the creamy mixture into a serving bowl. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
