  • 1 pound Italian sausage can replace with ground beef or omit
  • 4 ounces pepperoni omit for a meat-free version
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese can mix with provolone or cheddar
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese substitute with Pecorino if desired
For the Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 cup pizza sauce any marinara sauce also works
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the pie crust in your pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
  2. Pre-bake the crust for 10 minutes until slightly puffed.
  3. Sauté ground beef and Italian sausage with olive oil and seasonings for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Spread pizza sauce over the pre-baked crust, add mozzarella cheese, the meat mixture, and top with more sauce and mozzarella.
  5. Add pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
  7. Let the pie rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
