For the Pasta Shells
  • 12 pieces Jumbo Pasta Shells Consider gluten-free shells if needed.
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Turkey Shredded leftover turkey; can substitute chicken.
  • 1 cup Mashed Potatoes Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 cup Celery Finely diced.
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; fresh is best.
  • 1 cup Bread Stuffing Feel free to use gluten-free stuffing or omit.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Can substitute mozzarella or fontina.
  • ¾ cup Gravy Homemade or store-bought.
  • to taste Salt & Pepper Adjust to personal taste.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 1.5-quart baking dish.
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot, then add jumbo pasta shells and cook for approximately 8-9 minutes until al dente. Drain and cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded turkey, warm mashed potatoes, diced celery, chopped onion, minced garlic, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour ¾ cup of gravy into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the filling and arrange them seam-side up in the baking dish.
  6. Drizzle remaining gravy over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
