  • 4 medium Tart Apples Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Jonagold
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Sugar Do not substitute
  • ½ cup Butter Can use margarine or plant-based butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Essential spice
  • 1 can Mountain Dew Soda Sprite or 7UP can be used for a twist

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Peel, core, and slice the tart apples into quarters.
  3. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate the triangles.
  4. Place a quartered apple on a crescent triangle, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and roll tightly.
  5. Place the dumplings seam side down in the greased baking dish.
  6. Melt the butter and pour it over the dumplings, then sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
  7. Pour the Mountain Dew soda around the dumplings.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and syrup is bubbling.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
