Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, beat the sugars and oil until smooth. Add eggs, then mix in vanilla and pumpkin purée.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed without overmixing.
- Spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Allow cooling completely.
- Prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until fluffy, then mix in powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Frost the cooled bars, cut into squares, and serve.
