Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a stand mixer, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix on medium speed for about 2–3 minutes until a thick dough forms. Gently fold in the chopped Oreos.
- Roll the dough into small 30-gram balls and place them on lined baking sheets. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cookies for 9–10 minutes until puffed and golden around the edges. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, add softened cream cheese and remaining butter. Whip together until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and salt, mixing on low speed until fluffy.
- Pipe a generous amount of frosting onto one cooled cookie's flat side. Top with another cookie, pressing gently to form a sandwich. Repeat for all cookies.
- Cover the assembled pies with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to let flavors meld and soften.
