- Cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 large eggs one at a time and mix well. Stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in 3 cups of all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon of fine sea salt, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda on low speed.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- Press half of the chilled dough into the baking pan and freeze for 10 minutes.
- Spread 1 cup of strawberry preserves over the dough layer.
- Flatten the remaining dough and place it over the preserves, sealing the edges.
- Bake for 25 to 28 minutes until golden brown and center is set.
- Cool for 15 minutes, then prepare the glaze by mixing 1 cup of powdered sugar with enough milk for a smooth consistency.
- Drizzle the glaze over the bars and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles while it's still wet.

Notes
Chilling the dough prevents spreading. Use high-quality preserves for the best flavor.
