- Heat the Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat and attach a candy thermometer. Cook until it reaches 295°F (145°C), about 10-15 minutes.
- Add Butter: Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Cool the Nuts: Pour the toffee mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and separate the walnuts with forks.
- Harden: Allow to cool completely for 20-30 minutes until hardened.
