  • 1 can beans black, pinto, or refried
  • 1 cup rice cooked in chicken broth for flavor
  • 1 cup fresh salsa store-bought or homemade
  • 2 ripe avocados guacamole mash with lime juice and salt
For Assembly
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend
  • to taste jalapeños optional for spice
  • to taste fresh lettuce optional for crunch

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken breasts and grill or sauté for 6-8 minutes per side, until fully cooked. Remove and shred.

  3. While rice cooks, heat beans in a saucepan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until warm.
  4. Assemble the burrito by layering beans, rice, shredded chicken, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese in a tortilla.
  5. Wrap the burrito tightly from the bottom to the top, folding in the sides as you go.
  6. Serve immediately or store wrapped tightly in foil or parchment paper.
