- Brown the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook for about 7-10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Prepare the Sauce: Stir in pasta sauce, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning into the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Mix the Cheese Filling: Combine ricotta cheese, 1½ cups of shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and a beaten egg in a bowl until smooth.
- Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a layer of meat sauce in the slow cooker, then layer noodles, cheese mixture, and repeat until finished with meat sauce on top.
- Add Water and Cook: Pour 2 cups of water around the edges of the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
- Melt the Cheese Topping: About 10 minutes before serving, add remaining shredded mozzarella on top. Cover to melt.
