Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add Greek yogurt and stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Lightly flour a clean countertop and knead the dough for about 3-5 minutes until smooth and elastic, rolling it into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
- Heat olive oil and half of the melted butter in a skillet, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute. Spread this garlic mixture over the dough, then sprinkle with mozzarella, parmesan, and parsley.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and slice into 1-inch rounds.
- Place the sliced swirls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining melted butter. Sprinkle additional parmesan on top, if desired.
- Let the swirls cool for a few minutes before serving them warm with marinara sauce or your favorite soup.
