  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Use vegan for dairy-free version
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Dill Weed Fresh herbs can be substituted
  • 1 teaspoon Chives Fresh herbs can be substituted
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Any good melting cheese can be substituted
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Optional garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Scallions Optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly coat a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, cook diced thick-cut bacon over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Add vegetable oil to the reserved bacon fat in the skillet. Sear the pounded chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Transfer the seared chicken to the baking dish and mix softened cream cheese with garlic powder, dill, and chives. Spread over chicken.
  5. Sprinkle half of the bacon over the chicken and layer with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, ensuring chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internally.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with remaining bacon, parsley, and scallions before serving.
