  • 1 cup Bacon Bits Tempeh bacon can be used for vegetarian option.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used for bolder taste.
  • Salt & Pepper Season to taste.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by peeling the onions and carefully slicing them into thick rings, about ½ inch wide.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, and crispy bacon bits. Season this mixture with garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Take a larger onion ring, spoon in the creamy filling, and seal it with another onion ring.
  4. Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Dredge the stuffed onion rings in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, and roll in seasoned breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Fry the breaded onion rings for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried rings to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
