Brownies Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan by greasing and dusting it with flour.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, sour cream, softened butter, and eggs. Blend until smooth and creamy for about 2 minutes.
- Mash the very ripe bananas in a separate bowl and add them along with the vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, mixing on low speed.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, folding gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared jelly roll pan, spreading evenly into the corners.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Frosting Preparation
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the unsalted butter and cook until it turns golden and releases a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the browned butter from the heat, cool slightly, and whisk together with the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Allow the baked brownies to cool for about 10 minutes before frosting them with the brown butter frosting.

Notes
For maximum flavor, use very ripe bananas. Monitor the butter closely to avoid burning when making the frosting. Allow the brownies to cool slightly before frosting.
