Step-by-Step Instructions for Mango Iced Tea
  1. Begin by boiling 2 cups of filtered water in a saucepan over medium heat. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add your black tea bags, steeping for 10 minutes until the tea is rich in color. Remove the tea bags and set aside to cool.
  2. In another saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add diced ripe mango and simmer on low for about 10 minutes, mashing the mango into a smooth puree.
  3. Place a sieve or fine mesh strainer over a pitcher and strain the mango mixture into it. Pour the steeped black tea into the pitcher with the mango puree and stir gently.
  4. Add honey according to your desired sweetness and stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Let the mixture cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes, or refrigerate. Serve over ice in glasses, garnishing with fresh mango slices or mint.
