- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking.
- Add 1 cup of diced onion and 1 cup of diced bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Crumble 1 pound of breakfast sausage into the skillet and cook for 7-10 minutes until browned.
- Stir in 2 cups of cooked brown rice, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
