For the Topping
  • 4 slices Cheese mozzarella is ideal for melting

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf. Smooth the top and cover with foil.
  4. Bake the covered meatloaf for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and arrange cheese slices over the top to create mummy bandages.
  6. Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest, then brush the top with ketchup for eyes and mouth details.
